When you think about it, there are some appliances that you simply can’t do without in this day and age. While there are hundreds or even thousands of appliances out there, a handful of them are pretty much necessities. I’m talking about the ones that really make our day to day lives simpler, and not the appliances that seem to sit in the cupboards most of the time, only seeing the light of day a few times a year.
First on the list is a good refrigerator. Pretty much every house in the modern world has a refrigerator these days. Some apartments have tiny little kitchens that are way too small for a standard sized fridge. If you are in this situation, you can get yourself a small bar fridge to keep your stuff cold. Even in places without a reliable supply of electricity, you can still have a refrigerator. These days, you can purchase a gas fridge that will operate without the need to plug it in. There are models that run on propane, kerosene, or natural gas. Some can even run on a combination of gas and electricity. These units are designed to switch over to using gas if there is an interruption in the electricity supply.
Another appliance that a kitchen usually can’t do without is a range oven. Although in many parts of the world homes only have burners, an oven is great. While you can definitely cook most things with just a burner, an oven allows you to do much, much more.
The rest of the appliances are sort of little luxuries that some people can’t do without. Many people, for instance, couldn’t think of living without a coffee maker. Some of the best electric coffee makers do amazing things these days like grinding the coffee and automatically starting to brew it so that it is ready when you need it. Rounding out the list of necessities are blenders, microwaves, toasters, and electric kettles.
