The alternative is to buy interlocking vinyl tiles that snap together and are held firmly in place by the rest of the tiles.
• Epoxy garage flooring – This is a coating that can be applied to the concrete floor of the garage. Epoxy is slightly more expensive than paint and the floor must be properly prepared before it is applied, but once the epoxy is applied to the floor it provides a tough and durable surface.
• Painted garage flooring – The cheapest way to give the garage floor a new look as well as a moderate amount of protection is to paint it. Paint will only give your floor a short-term improved look because it won’t stand up to the daily wear and tear that the standard garage floor will come under. At best this is a solution that should only be considered as a temporary one before the final flooring is installed.
