So you’ve finally moved into your new home.  You’ve been living and settled in for about a month or two and your walls are decorated with family photos and miscellaneous artwork of flora and fauna you’ve picked up over the years.  Pictures, trophies, and that little urn your grandmother gave you a few years ago for Christmas are all sitting atop your mantle above your cozy, little fireplace.

You walk into your garage and alas, a lonely box full of fine China or perhaps a box filled with unique trinkets and antiques still sits  unopened, unpacked because you didn’t know what to do with it. You think about how bare your living room is and all you really have in there is a couple of sofas and a television, how dull!  Well, why not go for a casual, sophisticated look-something that says, “Hey, I’ve got nice things and I want you to see them and be impressed,” but also states, “This person does have nice things and I admire them for that!”

Try out a curio cabinet.  It’s a great solution for any sort of valuable items/collectibles you may have.  You can have it somewhere close to your entrance as a means to make an impression on visitors or place it along a wall or corner in your living room so people may view your things from a relaxed setting.

Curio cabinets are a convenient and wonderful way to both keep your valuables in a safe place and to show your guests a little something more than just common hospitality.  Many people use curio cabinets to store fine China while numerous collectors use it to display various items from porcelain dolls to antiques from the Civil War.  So why not give yourself the benefit of the doubt and just finish moving in while giving your living space a little bit more to offer the eyes of your guests as well as yourself? It will definitely help out with your home decor.
