Bath shower faucets come in traditional and modern styles, often with decorative elements in various shapes and styles. Before purchasing a bath shower faucet, everyone should ask themselves exactly what features they are looking for. Do they need a shower head that saves water, a model with massage, or a telephone type of shower? They should also think about the finish that will be best suited to their home dcor. There are many finishes available such as chrome, brass, brushed nickel, oil rubbed bronze, copper and metal-glass mixtures.

Installation of a shower faucet is easy and takes only a short time. The old shower head should be removed first. Plyers can be used to loosen the fitting. The head must be completely unscrewed and any old plumber’s tape residue should be cleaned off. Take a new plumber’s tape roll and wind smoothly with a couple of layers around the pipes threaded part, which is coming out of the wall. Now the new shower head can be attached to the pipe. Locking plyers can be used to tighten the head.

Turn the shower on and check for the leaks around the fitting area. If there is any leak, the fitting should be tightened some more. If there is still a water leak, remove the shower head and add one more layer of plumber’s tape to the pipe. Now attach the shower head again and tighten it. Keep the faucet open for at least two minutes to free the air jammed in the pipes.

Now your shower has a fine appearance with a new faucet. By looking at the new bath shower faucet, one may be tempted to change sinks and taps in order to harmonize the bathroom dcor. For installing sinks and taps in bathrooms, one needs to undertake some preparation. Before installing the sinks and taps, disconnect the old ones where they join the supply.

Some toilets seem to be more effective at flushing away whatever is deposited in the toilet bowl than others. While part of the reason toilets clog up is due to how they are used – balling up lots of toilet paper and dropping this in the bowl for example will often get you in trouble – the difference is normally about toilet design.   In this article we don’t have space to compare every toilet design on the market, so we’ll stick to making a broad comparison between American and European styles. So if you want to avoid having to unclog a toilet ever again, read on.

American toilets on the whole are designed in such a way that they “pull” the waste that is in the toilet bowl down the toilet trap by creating a siphoning force. To use a plumbers term, the toilet “pulls a siphon” on each flush. Having a relatively narrow trap way is needed so that the siphonic pressure can build up. Unfortunately the result is that siphon flush toilets have a tendency to get a clogged up. The recent introduction of low flow toilets that release less than half the amount of water into the bowl as a traditional toilet, only makes matters worse.

European toilets clog less often on the whole because their trap way diameter is larger. They don’t siphon flush but use more of a wash down method that pushes the waste down the toilet in a body of water. Dual flush toilets, which were first designed in Australia, but are growing in popularity world wide, use the same method.

One positive feature of American style siphon toilets is the need for a larger amount of water in the toilet bowl. European toilets have less water in the bowl (as this would interfere with the wash down from above). Having less water inevitably means more staining or to use the crude term, more skid marks.  So although you may be able to throw away your specialized toilet plungers, don’t get rid of your toilet brush just yet.

The prefabricated walk in shower stalls with glass panels for standard bathrooms, but what happens if you have an odd-shaped space with slanted or low ceilings. What about dark basements? Attics? Here are some ideas for how to design some unusual walk in shower stalls that fit the space you have in your home.

For a dark basement area, the worst thing you can do is close off the shower. How can you avoid it if the basement is small and you want to have multiple different rooms? Instead of a brick wall or drywall, use glass – not transparent panels, but blocks or frosted tempered glass. The light, even from small windows will flow better. Inside the bathroom, leave the area open creating walk in shower stalls that have no doors. If the floor is angled properly and the showerheads are well placed, there will be no need for a door, not even a sheet of glass.

What about vanities, mirrors and accessories in basement bathrooms with limited space? Don’t waste your space on heavy wooden cabinets. Use translucent glass vessel sinks on glass table tops. Choose open glass shelves for towels. Keep everything open. If you do your makeup in the bathroom, instead of buying the best lighted makeup mirror designs on the market (which are often bulky and take up space) and will require a vanity or counter top to rest on, use an unframed wall mounted mirror and have lights installed around it – imbed them in the ceiling and wall if possible.

What about an attic? Use slanted walls to create unique walk in shower stalls made from clear glass blocks that can be cut to fit any shape. A spa, with a shower console panel, is sleek and saves space. Do not add doors unless the area is very large. Use ceiling openings with plexi or glass panels to give additional light from above.

Remember that vanities, cabinets and other bathroom furniture is crafted with average apartments or homes in mind. You will likely need to contract a carpenter to create a vanity unless you choose open shelves or glass.

When you are remodeling a small bathroom, it is normal to consider a walk in shower. These types of showers are much more economical with space than a shower and tub combination. There are many different types of tile walk in shower designs to choose from, and you are sure to decide on one you like. Carefully consider this feature when you are coming up with bathroom decorating ideas.

The most common walk in shower designs for small bathrooms are the type with three sides that use a shower curtain. These showers take up little space compared to some other models. They are easy to install as well. However, the downside to this type of shower design is that they tend to leak water out the front, which can cause damage to tile over time.

Another common type of walk in shower designs is those with a door enclosure. These are essentially a box with a shower head. While this type of shower is among the easiest to install, it is also one of the most space eating types of walk in shower designs. Additionally, the filmed glass on the door does not provide as much privacy as a shower curtain, although it does keep the water in the shower better.

The most space saving of all walk in shower designs is actually the least common. This is essentially a room with a shower inside. It is very easy to build this shower. You simply need to put in waterproof board in place of drywall, add some tile or laminate, throw in the plumbing you’ll have to have anyway for any shower, then add a shower curtain or door. Don’t forget a drain as well.

Other shower features you might come up with in your bathroom decorating ideas may include types of shower heads, steam effects and other features. However, these are less important than the shower design and the space it takes up in your small bathroom.

Once you have chosen hte type of walk-in shower design that you feel will best meet you and your family’s needs as well as satisfying your style aesthetic you can start to make a choice on the other factors in the bathroom. The floor tiles, the walls and the vanity and taps will all provide you with an opportunity to express yourself and to best sho off your bathroom.
