You simply need to put in waterproof board in place of drywall, add some tile or laminate, throw in the plumbing you’ll have to have anyway for any shower, then add a shower curtain or door. Don’t forget a drain as well.

Other shower features you might come up with in your bathroom decorating ideas may include types of shower heads, steam effects and other features. However, these are less important than the shower design and the space it takes up in your small bathroom.

One spectacular design I recently saw was a copper sink sandwiched between two layers of glass. The designs can only really be limited by the imagination.

Sinks are now being made from many other materials such as brass, steel and stainless steel. Stone is also a very organic material from which they are being currently made, but only the sink bowl needs to made out of these materials. Luckily you only need the sink to be made out of these materials otherwise it would become prohibitively expensive.

Considering the size of the bathroom is an important factor when choosing your vanity units. A smaller unit will open up the space more when compared to the larger cabinets. The vessel style cabinets are not just for smaller bathrooms they look equally as good in the larger bathrooms. As they are more modern and stylish and require a sink to sit on top they are often more expensive. The sinks are usually made out of glass and will look very stylish sat on top of a marble, granite or stone slab.

The bathroom is a difficult room to design for because they are general quite small yet you want to get the most out of it as you can. The result can sometimes mean that you have overcrowded the room with furniture, towel rails and racks. While putting together your bathroom furniture make sure you take a step back and give it a critical eye to decide whether there is still a sense of roominess about it.

At the end of the day, your budget will dictate the type of bathroom vanity that you purchase. Any changes to the vanities that you make though will improve the appearance and desirability of your bathroom and ultimately the value of your home. So they can be a good long term investment.
